München (Germany) June 18, 2024 - The 2nd German International Photovoltaic Energy Storage Conference, organized by Energy Box, was held grandly in Munich, Germany. Alex Chen, DAS Solar's Overseas Technical Support Manager, was invited to deliver a speech at the conference. During the conference, DAS Solar received the "RE Technology Innovation of the Year" award for its innovation in N-type technology.
The Solar Energy Storage Future Germany offers a global platform for leaders in the new energy industry to exchange ideas and learn with government officials, local electric utilities, internationally leading companies, and presentations by PV experts. During the presentation session, Alex Chen shared the industrialization development and achievements of DAS Solar's N-type TOPCon technology in his report titled "DAS DAON Leading N Technology."
Alex Chen emphasized that DAS Solar is committed to innovation. With an average production efficiency of 26.6%, DAS Solar has broken the world efficiency record for large-area TOPCon cells three times. In order to maximize the value of products, advanced technologies must be integrated. DAS Solar has leveraged its extensive experience in N-type TOPCon cell technology to introduce the N-type series to the market. Mr. Chen provided a comprehensive analysis of N-type products, covering aspects such as conversion efficiency, light-induced degradation (LID), bifaciality, temperature coefficient, and performance under weak light conditions and micro-cracks. DAS Solar N-type modules offer advantages such as zero light-induced degradation (LID), higher bifaciality, lower temperature coefficient, and superior performance under weak light conditions, meeting the diverse requirements of various application scenarios.
In order to meet the needs of the European residential photovoltaic market, DAS Solar has introduced DAS Black double glass rectangular modules. These modules combine high aesthetics with high performance by upgrading dimensions, encapsulation materials, and technology, and incorporating an all-black minimalist design.
They maximize the advantages of compactness while meeting the local market's demand for customization. Due to their excellent performance and reliable technology, N-type modules outperformed P-type modules in a demonstration project at a power station in Qinghai, increasing average power generation by 6.59% on average. In addition, this highlights DAS Solar's robust capabilities in the N-type technology and helps modules achieve optimal value throughout their lifetime.
In recent years, the German government has implemented a series of incentives, including tax benefits and subsidies, to significantly boost photovoltaic installation capacity. According to 2023 data, Germany added 14.2 GW of new photovoltaic capacity, bringing the total installed capacity to over 81.2 GW.
DAS Solar is committed to becoming an international new energy enterprise, focusing on the rapidly growing and highly potential overseas markets. The company continuously evaluates the decentralized manufacturing model to expand its global footprint. In 2023, DAS Solar established a subsidiary in Germany to better serve European customers, along with a comprehensive supply chain and warehousing system, marking a significant step forward in its global expansion strategy and positioning it as the European business hub. Winning the "RE Technology Innovation of the Year" award underscores the international market's high recognition of DAS Solar's innovation and leadership in N-type technology. The award strengthens DAS Solar's brand influence in the global new energy sector, and it lays the groundwork for the company to expand internationally
