Get to know DAS Solar Jingshan base - the largest PV module manufacturing base in central China

2023-11-03

DAS Solar's Jingshan base is located in Jingshan City, Hubei Province. There is a plan to build 10GW of N-type photovoltaic modules, 2GW of photovoltaic cells, and associated facilities on 99 acre of land. The project is divided into two phases. Phase I of the project involves an investment of 20 billion RMB, occupying 51 acre. There are currently six production lines for photovoltaic modules in phase I that go into production. As of March 2023, all six production lines at DAS Solar's Jingshan base are operating at full capacity. Peng Jiajia, the Production Manager for DAS Solar's Jingshan base, has mentioned that the base's daily production capacity is approximately 16 MW. By the end of 2023, it is expected to have a production capacity of around 4 billion RMB.

In September 2023, DAS Solar increased its investment by 4 billion RMB for phase II. This project is expected to generate annual sales revenues of more than 20 billion RMB, making it the largest photovoltaic module manufacturing base in central China when completed.

The efficiency of traditional P-type solar cells has reached a halt after more than 20 years of development. As one of the earliest teams in China dedicated to TOPCon solar cell technology research, DAS Solar's R&D team follows a development philosophy based on technological innovation.DAS Solar has established the first 1.2GW TOPCon line since establishment. As one of Tier 1 PV manufactures, DAS Solar is dedicated to continuous exploration and rigorous research in N-type technology, consistently surpassing industry standards in cell and module efficiency. Equipped with DAS Solar's cutting-edge TOPCon 4.0 cell technology, an impressive 26.33% efficiency was achieved by DAS Solar's large-area solar cell.

Furthermore, the local government followed the essential production requirements to expedite the attraction of complementary businesses, and developed an industrial investment plan to attract complementary businesses after construction began at the DAS Solar Jingshan base. Through the cooperation between the government and businesses, there has been a significant reduction in production costs, an improvement in production efficiency, and a further advancement in the development of the Jingshan new energy industry, which has developed structurally and transitioned to green energy.
