DAS Solar Presents Future Development Strategies at TaiyangNews Virtual Conference

2024-07-31

Quzhou, Jul.31, 2024 - The Global PV System Technology Trends H1/2024 Virtual Conference held by TaiyangNews, an international renewable solar media, was a great success. The forum gathered leading manufacturers and suppliers in the renewable energy sector for an in-depth discussion and analysis of the latest advancements in photovoltaic technology, the current market landscape, and future development trends. On July 31st, Kangping Zhang, Director of DAS Solar's R&D Center, delivered a keynote speech titled "DAS Solar Technical Roadmap & Future Development Strategy" during a technical session.

DAS Solar, as a leader in N-type technology, DAS Solar is dedicated to continuous exploration and rigorous research in N-type technology, consistently surpassing industry standards in cell and module efficiency. The company has successfully progressed from TOPCon 1.0 to TOPCon 4.0 Plus technology. DAS Solar has set the world record for conversion efficiency of large area TOPCon cells for three times within eight months. With N-type technology at its core, the cell achieves an impressive mass production efficiency of up to 26.6%, and a open circuit voltage of 742mV.

Mr. Zhang stated that DAS Solar's TOPCon 4.0 Plus technology improves efficiency primarily through three key innovations in materials innovation, structure innovation, and methodological innovation. He also outlined the company's R&D strategy of "One Primary Technological Path with Three Auxiliary Approaches." Mr. Zhang emphasized that DAS Solar will continue to lead the industry with N-type TOPCon technology as its core focus. To achieve technological diversification and breakthroughs, DAS Solar will actively advance cutting-edge technologies including DBC, CSPC, TSiP, and SFOS. This approach is expected to surpass photovoltaic cell efficiency by 40%, significantly contributing to global energy transformation and sustainable development.

During the virtual conference, Kangping Zhang highlighted DAS Solar's high-efficiency N-type modules and lightweight modules. The N-type 4.0 rectangular series, equipped with TOPCon 4.0 technology, enhances energy yield efficiency and is suitable for residential, commercial, and large-scale utility solar projects. Also, the N-type series with TOPCon 4.0 0BB technology, employs a busbar-free design that minimizes losses from cell microcracks while ensuring high conversion efficiency and improved stability. Moreover, the Diamond high-efficiency modules, utilizing DBC3.0 technology, offer a sleek all-black design, setting minimalism with all-black design in photovoltaic architectural aesthetics. Additionally, DAS Solar's lightweight high-efficiency modules reduce weight by 60% to 70% while maintaining energy yield, which lowers roof load and reduces installation and maintenance costs.

As a core driver of its business development, DAS Solar has consistently emphasized intellectual property. In total, DAS Solar has submitted more than 700 China patent applications, with 362 of them being granted. A total of 80 invention patent applications have been filed, 86 invention patents have been granted, and 34 invention patents have been cited. It highlights DAS Solar's innovative capabilities and strong research and development capabilities. Continually advancing its research and development efforts, DAS Solar will continue to promote the advancement of photovoltaic technology through an innovation-driven development philosophy.
