DAS Solar signs strategic cooperation agreement with JSTI and DEA for new energy application scenarios in transportation area

2023-08-04

DAS Solar attended the launch ceremony of the China Energy Conservation Association's Dual Carbon Research Institute in Nanjing and officially joined the organization as a co-founder recently. DAS Solar announced that they have signed a strategic cooperation institute with JSTI GROUP (hereafter referred to as “JSTI”) and Dongfang Electric Auto Control Engineering Co., Ltd (hereafter referred to as “DEA”) to mutually develop new energy application scenarios in transportation based on DAS Solar’s leading technology. According to the agreement, the organization would work towards conducting in-depth research in the fields of transportation and new energy. This collaboration aims to create an innovative model of cooperation and mutual benefit among state-owned enterprises, research institutions, and private companies.

DAS Solar's lightweight modules and flexible brackets were showcased at the launch ceremony. DAS Solar's lightweight module features a frontsheet made of fluoropolymer composite materials, reducing the weight by 60% compared to traditional modules. This not only makes installation more convenient but also significantly shortens the construction period. The advanced lightweight module encapsulation technology, high-performance materials, specialized fluoropolymer composites, and waterproof, fire-resistant backsheet combination ensure a high level of reliability and quality assurance. Moreover, DAS Solar’s novel flexible brackets, offer three key advantages: high clearance, large spans, and low cost. DAS Solar’s innovative approach effectively addresses the issues of excessive land usage, difficulty in reusability, and high engineering costs associated with traditional photovoltaic support systems. By efficiently utilizing the land area and reducing electricity production costs, it provides the best cost-effectiveness for promoting photovoltaic projects.

Transportation emissions account for approximately 10.4% of the total carbon emissions in China. Reducing carbon emissions is of utmost importance for the green transformation of the energy structure in the transportation sector. DAS Solar will leverage its core capabilities by using differentiated products, such as lightweight modules and flexible brackets, in the new energy transportation area.

The China Energy Conservation Association's Dual Carbon Research Institute will focus on the "dual carbon" goals and breakthroughs in key energy conservation and emission reduction technologies. It will conduct organized scientific research and task-oriented efforts to promote coordinated innovation, industry-research integration, talent cultivation, and facilitate international cooperation. As the top-tier brand in N-type technology, DAS Solar will provide full-scenario PV system solutions for ecological, urban, and offshore photovoltaic applications in transportation, utility, commercial and industrial areas. DAS Solar is dedicated to continuous exploration and rigorous research in N-type technology, consistently surpassing industry standards in cell and module efficiency. In the future, DAS Solar will collaborate with research institutions to focus on cutting-edge international energy-saving technologies and tackle key core technologies for energy conservation and carbon reduction in transportation.
