DAS Solar receives “2023 Clean Energy Outstanding Innovation Case” award

2023-08-01

DAS Solar, the leader in N-type technology, has announced that it has received the “2023 Clean Energy Outstanding Innovation Case” award from the 2023 Clean Energy Tech Capital Forum for the world’s first 2,000V - Mengjiawan PV project supplied by DAS Solar. The forum aims to strengthen confidence in clean energy investments in the capital market, showcase outstanding innovations in clean energy, promote the integrated development of traditional and new energy, and establish a model of innovation in the capital market.

Invested and constructed by CHINA HUANENG GROUP (hereinafter referred to as CHNG), DAS Solar provides N-type monocrystalline bifacial dual-glass modules for the Mengjiawan project in Yulin City, Shanxi Province. Equipped with DAS Solar's cutting-edge TOPCon 3.0 plus cell technology, the cell achieved an impressive cell laboratory efficiency of up to 26.24%, and the open circuit voltage of 730mV a world record. Leveraging advanced technologies such as high-energy laser-induced selective emitter (i-SE), ultra-thin polycrystalline silicon with micro-doped ut-polySi, and passivated emitter rear contact (PERC) with multilayer surface passivation (mt-Pass), the N-type 3.0 series modules boasted exceptional performance and reliability.

Mengjiawan project features groundbreaking 2,000V modules, developed jointly by CHNG and DAS Solar. Once the project is connected to the grid, it is expected to generate an average annual power output of approximately 298.87 million kWh over a 25-year operational period, with an annual equivalent full-load operating duration of approximately 1640 hours. This project will result in an annual reduction of approximately 278,000 tons of CO2 emissions and save about 94,100 tons of standard coal.

As the top-tier brand in N-type technology, the N-type modules boasted exceptional performance and reliability. They offered advantages such as zero light-induced degradation (LID), higher bifaciality, lower temperature coefficient, and superior performance under weak light conditions, meeting the diverse requirements of various application scenarios. DAS Solar is dedicated to continuous exploration and rigorous research in N-type technology, consistently surpassing industry standards in cell and module efficiency.
