Quzhou, Oct. 28, 2024 - DAS Solar, a leader in N-type PV technology, is awarded TÜV Nord Witness Outdoor Performance Evaluation Base certificate at its headquarter in Quzhou, China.
TÜV Nord is one of the most influential third-party certification bodies in the PV testing and certification, as well as a global leader in assessing the safety, performance, and quality of PV products. The institution provides comprehensive testing and certification services across the solar industry, from materials and modules to solar power generation systems. It also collaborates extensively with power companies, insurance firms, banks, investment entities, and EPCs.
DAS Solar's laboratory is one of the most advanced corporate laboratories in the industry. For years, the company has been actively investing in N-type technology, focusing on technological research and product reliability evaluation. The laboratory is equipped with comprehensive and professional testing equipment, covering dozens of test items such as module appearance inspection, maximum power determination, insulation tests, wet leakage current tests, PID, hail, LID, UV, damp freeze, and damp heat tests. The lab has previously obtained various authoritative certifications, including recognition from CNAS, TÜV Nord Witness Laboratory, TÜV SÜD Witness Laboratory, and TÜV Nord IECEE CB-Scheme's CTF2 Laboratory. Receiving the TÜV Nord Outdoor Performance Evaluation Base certificate marks a significant upgrade in DAS Solar's ability to conduct both indoor and outdoor testing, laying a solid foundation for the company's innovation and product quality.
At the certification ceremony, Mr. Liang Liu, Director of PV Product Operations at TÜV Nord's Renewable Energy Division, points out that DAS Solar has achieved remarkable results by driving industry upgrades through innovative R&D. As a third-party organization, TÜV Nord has maintained in-depth and fruitful cooperation with DAS Solar. This certification follows a rigorous audit of DAS Solar's field test site management system, environment, personnel and equipment, confirming that the site meets TÜV Nord's management standards for witness field test sites. Looking ahead, TÜV Nord hopes to further strengthen technical collaboration with DAS Solar to jointly promote high-quality development in the industry.
Module field testing is the only standard for verifying outdoor performance and power generation. Outdoor performance evaluation helps collect extensive real-world operating data, providing a basis for designing, improving, and finalizing new products. As a leader in N-type technology, DAS Solar has long been engaged in outdoor field testing of modules, establishing multiple performance evaluation stations in different climate zones, including one in Mohe for extremely cold climates, one in Hainan for humid tropical climates, one in Yantai for marine climates, and one in Zhangzhou for subtropical monsoon climates. The data collection and feedback from these stations not only support DAS Solar's in-depth research and optimization of modules but also provide empirical evidence for improving product quality and performance.
In the future, DAS Solar will make better use of the data from these performance evaluation stations to continue developing next-generation products, further enhancing the market competitiveness and presence, and ensuring more reliable solutions and higher-quality services for customers worldwide.
