On June 19th, DAS Solar successfully hosted a Booth Party at their booth during Intersolar in Munich, Germany. The event attracted numerous industry professionals, experts, scholars, and media representatives.
Liu Yong, Chairman and President of DAS Solar, delivered the opening speech for the Booth Party. He warmly welcomed photovoltaic practitioner from around the world and shared the company's latest achievements and future plans in the photovoltaic field. Liu highlighted Germany's continuous investment in new energy and the accelerated implementation of renewable energy projects as a model for global green energy transition. He also emphasized the crucial role of photovoltaics as a pillar of renewable energy in the global energy structure transformation.
As a leader in N-type technology, DAS Solar has made significant breakthroughs in the TOPCon field. Through continuous investment in research and development, the company has successfully increased the mass production average efficiency of TOPCon 4.0 Plus cells to 26.6%, with an open-circuit voltage reaching 742mV, repeatedly setting industry records and injecting new momentum into the global photovoltaic industry.
To further expand the international market, DAS Solar established a subsidiary in Germany at the beginning of 2023, marking the company's journey into the European and surrounding markets. With a localized and comprehensive sales service system, DAS Solar provides full-range, close-to-the-customer services from pre-sales to post-sales. This move not only accelerates DAS Solar's global expansion but also lays a solid foundation for deep cultivation in the European market. The company is committed to actively addressing global climate change challenges by providing efficient and reliable photovoltaic solutions, promoting the green transformation of the global energy structure, and contributing to global sustainable development.
At the event, Jenny Chase, Solar Analyst at BNEF, shared the 2Q 2024 Global PV Market Outlook with the attendees. According to BloombergNEF forecasts, global photovoltaic module installations are expected to reach 585GW, with China, the United States, India, Brazil, and Germany leading the market growth. Additionally, several smaller markets are emerging, with 38 markets expected to exceed 1GW in installed capacity this year.
As global climate change and environmental issues become increasingly severe, promoting the development of renewable energy has become a crucial task for governments and enterprises worldwide. The photovoltaic industry, as a cornerstone of renewable energy development, is playing an increasingly important role in this context. Jenny Chase also emphasized the complexity of achieving a high renewable energy future, particularly in regions like Spain and Portugal that aim to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. Balancing energy security with the advancement of renewable energy will be a critical challenge.
Following the presentation, attendees engaged in lively discussions, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The successful hosting of DAS Solar's Booth Party during the Intersolar exhibition in Munich provided a platform for interaction and showcased the company's strength and charm in the photovoltaic field. Moving forward, DAS Solar will continue to uphold the spirit of innovation, pragmatism, and cooperation, contributing to the prosperity and development of the global photovoltaic industry.
