DAS Solar's 4GW high efficiency module project has commenced production in Inner Mongolia

2023-11-19

On November 17th, the Elion DAS Solar 4GW high-efficiency photovoltaic module project, jointly funded by Elion and DAS Solar, went into production in Inner Mongolia, China.

The project is located in the Inner Mongolia Ordos High-tech Zone, where a high-efficiency photovoltaic module research and production base will be established in the desert area. The total investment in fixed assets and working capital for this project is approximately 5 billion yuan. Currently, Phase I of the project has begun and Phase II will start with the construction of a 6GW project. Upon completion of production, the annual sales revenue is estimated to exceed 10 billion yuan, creating jobs for more than 1,000 local residents. In addition to advancing local renewable energy initiatives and rural revitalization in the Ordos region of Inner Mongolia, this initiative will further accelerate the growth of the photovoltaic industry.

Equipped with DAS Solar's cutting-edge TOPCon 4.0 cell technology, an impressive 26.33% efficiency was achieved by DAS Solar's large-area (333.4cm²) solar cell. As a leader in N-type technology, DAS Solar is dedicated to continuous exploration and rigorous research in N-type technology, consistently surpassing industry standards in cell and module efficiency.

In addition, DAS Solar has developed flexible brackets adapted for desert conditions. These flexible brackets adjust to local conditions, effectively overcoming topographical constraints on module placement. DAS Solar’s flexible brackets explore more possibilities for desert photovoltaic installation by constructing a green ecological security barrier in desert regions.

Decentralized manufacturing has been a strategic focus for DAS in recent years. Elion DAS Solar 4GW high-efficiency photovoltaic module project is DAS Solar’s second project in Inner Mongolia. In addition to reducing costs and improving efficiency in module production, DAS Solar has expanded into local markets, enabling local economic development. Inner Mongolia has made significant progress in controlling desertification and land degradation through initiatives such as photovoltaic control of desertification and the vigorous development of green power generation. These efforts promote the local ecosystem, fostering development in a green and sustainable manner. By providing Inner Mongolia with green energy, DAS will continue to expand its presence in the photovoltaic industry.
