On December 1st, DAS Solar and Zhejiang Sinopont Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter Sinopont) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Zhejiang. Sinopont is one of the leading PV encapsulant film producers in China, and POE photovoltaic film is its main product. Under the strategic cooperation agreement, beginning in 2023, DAS Solar will purchase a minimum of 5GW of pure POE film from Sinopont, with the monthly average purchase quantity being at least 4 million ㎡.
Riding the wave of the goals of “Carbon peaking and Carbon neutrality,” the PV industry is flourishing. As one of the most important development routes, TOPCon technology has a highly efficient output and superior cost performance, whereby it has won great praise from the market. According to PV Infolink, TOPCon's market share is expected to reach 8% in 2022, 21% in 2023, and more than 30% in 2024. In line with the development trend of the PV industry, DAS Solar began to expand the layout of the N-type PV cell and module business in 2021. At the end of 2022, DAS Solar will access of 20GW+ PV cell production capacity and 20GW+ PV module production capacity.
The industrialization of N-type TOPCon cell technology also brought change to film materials. Compared with EVA film, POE film has a higher water vapor barrier, better weather resistance and stronger PID resistance, and is more suitable for N-type technology. To fully meet clients' needs for N-type TOPCon products, DAS Solar has deepened its layout and taken the lead in ensuring stable supply from the upstream of the industrial chain to deliver efficient, reliable, high-quality PV module products.
“The signing of the agreement with Sinopont will ensure DAS Solar's stable supply of encapsulation film and match the company's N-type PV product capacity to meet the global needs,”said Mr.Pu, the COO of DAS Solar. Through this cooperative effort, the two sides will embark on a long-term and stable strategic partnership, and work together to give full play to their respective strengths. DAS Solar will promote the development of the PV industry and contribute to the low-carbon revolution.
