DAS Solar spotlights N-type 4.0 series at ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week 2024

2024-07-03

DAS Solar, a leading N-type technology PV manufacturer, successfully concluded its exhibition at ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week 2024, held from July 3rd to 5th in Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand. DAS Solar showcased its N-type 4.0 series products and lightweight modules, attracting significant attention and interest.

As one of the largest and most comprehensive energy and environmental events in the ASEAN region, the ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week gathered the latest technologies, innovative achievements, and solutions in global renewable energy, energy efficiency, and environmental protection. Thailand's Power Development Plan 2018-2037 (PDP2018) predicts that by 2037, the installed solar capacity will reach 15 GW, producing around 50% of renewable energy, achieving over 30% of total power generation from renewable sources.

During the exhibition, DAS Solar displayed its 645W 78-cell N-type bifacial double glass module,  620W 72-cell N-type rectangular bifacial double glass module and 465W 54-cell N-type bifacial double glass module.

With its innovative large-format design, the 645W bifacial double glass module significantly increases power generation efficiency, demonstrating exceptional economic and investment value. In addition, DAS Solar 620W rectangular bifacial double glass module, designed with optimized dimensions for synergy and mutual benefits, enhances module power while maximizing container space utilization, reducing logistics and transportation costs, and contributing to significant economic and environmental benefits. Also, the 465W all-black N-type double glass module, with its all-black design, seamlessly integrates into rooftop installations, greatly increasing the aesthetic value of photovoltaic systems.

A new generation of lightweight with framed modules was also shown at the exhibition. DA Solar's lightweight modules focus on "lightness" as their core advantage, replacing traditional photovoltaic back sheets with a high-polymer fluorocomposite material developed independently. This innovation reduces the module weight by over 70% compared to traditional modules, effectively lowering the load pressure on installation surfaces. In addition, the framed design enhances installation convenience and minimizes the risk of microcracks, ensuring the modules maintain their integrity and stability even in complex and variable environmental conditions.

DAS Solar and local partner APOW in Thailand jointly built a rooftop photovoltaic project. The project is located in Sampharn District, Nakon Phathom Province, with a total capacity of 3.5MW, using DAS Solar N-type modules. After half a year of verification, the project's power generation is 7% higher than that of a P-type project of the same scale, demonstrating the high performance of the N-type modules.

During the third Solar Energy Storage Future Asia 2024 conference held in conjunction, Mr. Yang Chao, Regional Sales Director of DAS Solar, shared the company's development journey, product performance, and technical roadmap with the attendees. According to Yang, TOPCon 4.0 Plus cells have a 26.6% average mass production efficiency and 742mV open-circuit voltage, breaking world records many times.

To provide customers with a more convenient, efficient, and professional service experience, DAS has established subsidiaries in Germany, Australia, and Japan in recent years. Besides showcasing DAS Solar's innovative strength and achievements in the field of new energy technology, the successful participation in the Thailand Renewable Energy Exhibition laid the groundwork for expanding international markets and enhancing international cooperation.
