Empirical Power Generation Data of DAS Solar N-type Modules comes out

2023-01-24

At the foot of Kunlun Mountain, the project used N-type TOPCon dual-glass modules from DAS Solar in Urt Moron, Golmud, Qinghai, provided an amazing result with excellent power generation gain after two years of stable operation.

The N-type TOPCon technology is more competitive in terms of high efficiency and low cost when compared to conventional P-type technology. For comparison, DAS Solar choose two module matrices with comparable system designs and installation settings. The empirical data showed that the N-type bifacial dual-glass module produced 4.61% and 8.7% extra power per kilowatt than the P-type one, respectively. Thus, it is clear that N-type products have superior power generating capabilities and have the potential to significantly raise the operating income and system yield of PV power plants.

The project is situated in a large, open area with sandy ground that offers excellent reflectivity. The bifaciality for DAS Solar's N-type high-efficiency modules was up to 80%, which was 10% higher than that of P-type modules. The N-type modules from DAS Solar provided a backside generation gain. The identical system configuration might result in a 11.4% increase in power plant revenue. Additionally, the N-type high-efficiency modules and single-axis tracker mounting for this project allowed for the most efficient use of the available land and solar resources for the best possible yield in the sun.

When temperatures are high, the modules experience some power loss. The N-type modules from DAS Solar have a low temperature coefficient of (-0.30%/°C), but the P-type modules have a temperature coefficient of (-0.34%/°C). N-type modules suffer from high temperature power losses that are 12% less than those of typical P-type modules, according to empirical testing and computation. This can significantly reduce the power loss during generating in a PV system. Better power warranties are available since DAS Solar's N-type cell technology has zero attenuation and is devoid of photoinduced attenuation, which is typically observed in Boronox complex. Its yearly attenuation after the first year is no more than 0.4% and after the second year, no more than 1%. N-type modules may significantly increase the total yield of a PV system since their power warranty attenuation is 2.45% lower over a 30-year period than that of P-type modules. To ensure that the investment return of power plant owners is ensured, DAS Solar offers a 15-year and 30-year power warranty for the N-type products.

A number of high-efficiency, high-power, cost-effective PV solutions were developed and introduced by DAS Solar as part of its commitment to product and technology innovation. As the industry leader in N-type PV technology, DAS Solar received several contracts for the delivery of N-type modules after forging long-lasting, solid strategic partnerships with a variety of clients, including Datang and Huaneng. In order to achieve "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality," DAS Solar will integrate ecological economics into urban development and combine eco-friendliness and low carbon.
