DAS Solar Fengqing Daxing project - the first flexible bracket project in Yunnan successfully completed

2023-04-20

The Fengqing Daxing project of agricultural solar hybrid technology has recently been completed successfully, with the implementation of the DAS Solar flexible bracket. This innovative technology offers significant advantages, including efficient composite land use, easy installation, high cost-effectiveness, and high reliability.

Convenient installation and efficient land composite utilization

Fengqing Daxing is in a mountainous region in Yunnan, which faces challenges in efficient land use due to the undulating terrain. Therefore, the implementation of the project requires prioritizing efficient land utilization. DAS Solar flexible bracket offers flexible and adjustable performance, occupies a small area, and can be widely applied in complex mountainous environments, making it an idea solution for achieving efficient land composite utilization. Compared to rigid bracket, it can save more than 25% of land use in mountainous areas while reducing the basic engineering and steel. The flexible brackets are prefabricated in the factory, requiring less on-site assembly work. Photovoltaic modules can be installed using a sliding method, eliminating the need for corresponding purlin installation holes and resulting in a 20% increase in installation efficiency.

Stability against wind

Traditional bracket structures are often prone to distortion and collision in high wind, which can lead to hidden cracks in photovoltaic modules. However, the DAS Solar flexible bracket uses prestressed galvanized steel-stranded wire as the module load-bearing cable, resulting in a more reliable and sturdy structure. By utilizing a prestressed cable net system in the east-west vertical plane, the tensile stress is controlled to effectively resist external loads. An inter-row flexible stable wind-resistant system is set up at the mid-span to form a bi-directional cable net structure, greatly improving wind-resistant vibration performance. Furthermore, a stable locking rod design improves the inter-row flexible stable wind-resistant system by controlling the sag of the cable through tension prestressing. Finally, a north-south stable cable system integrates the east-west-south-north arrays, increasing the anti-torsion stiffness of the load-bearing cable to effectively resist the adverse effects of wind-induced vibration on the modules.

High reliability, with resistance to salt spray and corrosion

The DAS Solar flexible bracket utilizes a new type of anti-corrosion coating, which outperforms hot-dip galvanized products in salt spray environments. It has successfully passed structural strength tests and modules' anti-hidden crack tests under extreme environmental conditions, including high and low temperatures of ±40℃ and strong winds, in Hami, Xinjiang. These results provide a strong endorsement for the safety and reliability of the DAS Solar flexible bracket.
