From Innovation to Influence: DAS Solar Rises as a Global Leading PV Brand

2025-05-16

DAS Solar made a powerful impression at this year's Intersolar Europe in Munich, Germany. Unveiling a dynamic portfolio of high-performance module solutions, the company underscored its growing global presence and commitment to driving next-generation solar innovation. During the event, DAS Solar hosted an engaging booth event featuring BloombergNEF's Head of Solar Research, Lara Hayim, who delivered in-depth insights into the 2024 global PV market landscape.

Structural Upgrades Underway: Global Installations Surpass 500GW

In her keynote, Hayim highlighted that global PV installations are projected to reach 520GW in 2024—an impressive 61% year-on-year increase and the first time the 500GW threshold will be crossed. China continues to lead as the primary driver, contributing 295GW of new capacity, or 56% of global growth. With module prices dropping over 60% in the past year, solar has become the most competitive source of new power in many regions. As global solar adoption accelerates, the industry is set to evolve toward high-efficiency, distributed, and intelligent systems, with the total installed capacity expected to approach 1TW by 2035.

Technology-Driven Growth: TOPCon Leads the N-type Era

As one of the pioneers of N-type TOPCon technology, DAS Solar is helping lead the industry's transition to high-efficiency solutions. With TOPCon now representing 61% of global crystalline silicon cell shipments, DAS Solar's in-house developed TOPCon 5.0 cells have achieved mass production efficiency of 27%, module efficiency of 23.8%, and power output beyond 670W. The modules also exhibit outstanding UV resistance, low degradation, strong low-light performance, and an optimized temperature coefficient, making them a top choice for customers seeking long-term energy yield and stability.

Beyond TOPCon, DAS Solar has adopted a “One Core, Three Branches” innovation strategy. Its Diamond series back-contact (DBC) 4.0 cells now exceed 27.2% efficiency, with modules reaching 24.8%. The company's TSiP tandem cells have surpassed 33.5%, while the SFOS multi-photon architecture, co-developed with the University of New South Wales, targets 40% efficiency. DAS Solar continues to scale up advanced technologies while reducing LCOE through intelligent manufacturing, materials R&D, and process optimization. Its products have received certifications from TÜV SÜD, UL, and CGC, and are deployed across key European markets such as Germany, France, Greece, and the Netherlands.

Global Expansion Accelerates with Localized Manufacturing and Service

As localization becomes increasingly critical to solar supply chains, DAS Solar is expanding its international footprint. In early 2025, the company officially launched its new factory in France, adding to existing subsidiaries in Germany, Australia, and Japan. With localized logistics, customer service, and technical support, DAS Solar now operates a robust delivery and support network spanning Europe, APAC, LATAM, etc. This strategy enables the company to provide faster, more flexible solutions and further strengthens its role as a trusted global partner.

ESG as Core Competence: Sustainability Built In

Sustainability is deeply embedded in DAS Solar's operations. Under its DAS GREEN initiative, the company integrates ESG principles across the entire business life-cycle. Its products have earned ECS carbon footprint certification in France and EPD recognition in Italy. Manufacturing sites in Quzhou and Zhangzhou are certified as zero-carbon factories, with energy management systems in place to control both consumption and emissions. DAS Solar also invests in employee development, responsible sourcing, and public welfare, nurturing a strong internal ESG culture.

Thanks to its achievements in technology, global branding, and ESG governance, DAS Solar has been listed as a BloombergNEF Tier 1 module supplier, ranked among TOP10 in annual global shipments, and honored with the PV ModuleTech bankability “A” rating.

From leading-edge innovation and localized manufacturing to an integrated ESG vision, DAS Solar continues to embody the evolution of modern PV manufacturing. Looking ahead, the company will deepen its global engagement with N-type technologies, all-scenario energy solutions, and a sustainable business model, further contributing to the world's transition toward a net-zero future.
