Fujian's fishery PV project was powered by DAS Solar's high-performance modules

The Fujian’ s 50MW fishery photovoltaic project developed by China National Nuclear Corporation Company, supplied with DAS Solar high-performance modules, has recently been successfully connected to the grid. This project is the first grid-connected centralized PV project in Fujian Province.

Fujian Chendai fishery photovoltaic project is a 1010-acres fish ponds in Chendai Town, Yuxiao County, which is a city in China’s eastern province of Fujian. It has an installed capacity of 50 MW, with a DC-side installed capacity of 64.86 MW, and a 5 MW/10 MWh energy storage facility. The project achieves an annual utilization of 1,170.2 hours and an average annual electricity generation of 75.9 million kWh once completed. It can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 62,200 tons per year compared to traditional PV plants of equivalent scale. It is expected that the photovoltaic system will generate 1,897.5 million kWh over its 25-year operational life, significantly contributing to the development of the local energy structure, industrial transformation, and economy.

Using the fishery photovoltaic model to maximize the Fujian Chendai's abundant water resources and ample sunlight. Photovoltaic modules are installed above fish farming ponds, enabling simultaneous aquaculture and electricity generation. With DAS Solar's high-performance modules installed above the water surface, partial shading is achieved, reducing water temperature and water evaporation. This prevents fish from depleting oxygen at high temperatures, but also reduces algae growth, leading to a healthier aquatic environment in summer. Furthermore, the cooling effect of water on modules and cables substantially improves electricity generation efficiency, which increased fishery yields and achieved environmental preservation.

As a leading brand in N-type technology, DAS Solar's high-efficiency double glass modules have been incorporated into this project to better suit the conditions above the water surface, which are high in humidity and heat. A dual-layer coated glass and symmetrical structural design make modules match for reducing water vapor permeability and maximizing dual-sided power generation. These modules have successfully passed reliability tests, including assessments for resistance to ammonia, salt spray, and PID (Potential-Induced Degradation). The outstanding performance in terms of microcrack resistance, PID resilience, and resistance to UV aging ensures that these modules continue to operate efficiently, reliably, and stably in the water surface environment over the long term.

By integrating photovoltaic energy with aquaculture, the Fujian Chendai fishery photovoltaic project achieves a seamless fusion of green agriculture and green energy. In the future, DAS Solar will continue to strengthen the core technical in full scenarios application and actively explore comprehensive development models of full scenarios, infusing more momentum into the realization of rural revitalization.
